Michael Lee Willis was born the son of Ruby Marie Garcia Willis on February 13, 1948 in El Reno, OK. He died on July 27, 2015 in Chickasha, OK.
Mike grew up in El Reno and graduated high school from Sacred Heart Catholic School. He entered the US Army and served from 1967 to 1969. In 1972 he married his wife Jeanne and they had two children together. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for several years before going to work for the US Postal Service. During his time with the US Postal Service, he was more than just a letter carrier–he developed close relationships with his customers. In 2013 he retired after 28 years of service. He was a NARVE member as well as a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in El Reno. Mike loved to fish, tend his vegetable garden and play with his grandchildren. He loved listening to oldies music and reminiscing about the old days with family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Willis; father-in-law Franklin Pettit; brothers-in-law Mike Pettit, Charles Pettit, Danny Truelock and Bill Chapman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mike is survived by his wife Jeanne Willis; son Kreg Willis; daughter Keri Willis; grandchildren Brandon Willis, Ian Willis Rangel, Tessa Willis, Presley Neidy, Michaela Neidy; and sisters Nancy Duvall and Rosalie Johnston and husband Bob.
