Ronald H. "Ronnie" Stewart

Service for Ronald H. "Ronnie" Stewart, age 65 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the New Life Christian Church. Rev. Ezell Nelson will officiate and Rev. Greg Davis will assist.

Ronnie was born the son of Neuil Harling Stewart and Ivory Estelene Carter Stewart on May 30, 1949 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He died on February 23, 2015.

Ronnie graduated from Bradley High School. Soon after graduation, he served one tour of duty in the United States Army in Vietnam. After being discharged, he owned and operated Stewart Trucking until the time of his death. He married Suzi Parrish on August 13, 1988 in Port Isabell, Texas.

Ronnie was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church for over twenty years. He taught Youth Sunday School and the Wedding Ring Class and had taken many kids on choir tours and mission trips. He also helped set up and facilitate the Divorce Care Ministry. Ronnie was currently a member and was serving as a deacon of the New Life Christian Church. He was active in the formation of the Great Plains Emmaus Community in 1997. He served on the board of directors as well as in many other capacities until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neuil and Estelene Stewart and brother-in-law, Mike Barrington.

Survivors include wife, Suzi Stewart of the home; son and wife, David and Alla Stewart of Moscow, Russia and their children Isabella and Alexandra; daughter and husband, Kathryn and Shaun Winfrey of Franklin, TN and their children Ava and Ryan; son, Matthew Grisham of Breckenridge CO and his children Lily and Jayson; sister and husband, Rita and Jimmy Hughes of Chickasha; sister, Diane Barrington of Blanchard; brother and wife, Jim and Ada Stewart of Ninnekah; brother and wife, David and Lisa Stewart of Union City; aunt and husband, Mary and Bill Stephenson of Chickasha; numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.


Patsy A. "Pat" Baker

Funeral service for Patsy A. "Pat"Baker age 83 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.

Patsy was born the daughter of Norman R. Amstutz and Mary Jewell Johnston Amstutz on December 10, 1931 in Chickasha. She died on February 15, 2015 at her home in Chickasha.

Patsy was born and raised in Chickasha. She attended North School, Chickasha Jr. High and graduated from Chickasha High School. During high school, she worked at S H Kress. After graduation, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. A. C. Crose. She married Charles J. Baker Sr. on December 9, 1950 in Chickasha. They traveled to Ft. Lewis, Washington where her husband was in the United States Army for 1 ½ years. They moved back to Chickasha in 1959. Pasty started working for J C Penney in 1959 and worked in various locations in the area for thirty eight years. She was a member of the Rancho Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Patsy was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Baker Sr.; daughter Patty Angela Baker; parents Norman R. and Mary Jewell Amstutz; brothers Charlie, Nick and William Amstutz; sister Emma Jewell.

Survivors include son Charles J. Baker Jr., and wife Leisa of Tulsa; son Duane A. Baker and Anne Steninger of Chickasha; daughter Brenda Thompson and husband David of Oklahoma City; daughter Gloria Keeler and husband Ronald of Eunice, LA; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Barbara June Turner

Funeral service for Barbara June Turner, age 72 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.

Barbara June was born the daughter of Raymond Wilson Reed and Mildred Ann McCants Reed on October 31, 1942 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She went to be with her heavenly father on February 12, 2015 in Chickasha.

Barbara graduated from Alex High School and later attended Oklahoma College for Women. She married Earnest Turner on January 8, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They made their home in Chickasha. She spent the rest of her life as a devoted housewife until her husband’s death in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Mildred Reed; husband Earnest Turner; sisters Shirley Quillin and Opal Stucks; brothers Billy and Arthur Reed.

Survivors include sister Judy Kauley of Chickasha; sister Minnie Phillips of Minco; brother Charles Reed of Wichita Falls, Texas; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family on her husband’s side.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service is under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
