Dorothy Isabel Nare Posey

Funeral service for Dorothy Isabel Nare Posey, age 91 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the New Life Christian Church. Bro. Ezell Nelson and Dr. Bryan Haynes will officiate.

Dorothy Isabel was born the daughter of Ralph Schuyler Nare and Hazel Jane Voorhees Nare on September 23, 1923 in Gloversville, New York. She died on June 15, 2015 at her home in Chickasha.

Dorothy married William "Bill" Thomas Posey at the age of twenty on February 6, 1944. They spent their early years in New Jersey where they began raising a family. In 1968, they moved to Chickasha. She and her husband co-founded Hermetic Switch Inc. where she served in the role of executive secretary for over thirty years. Dorothy also owned Dandy Lion Arts & Crafts store in Chickasha for ten years.

Dorothy was active in the Cub Scouts of America while in New Jersey. She was involved in OHCE and co-founder of the Chickasha Football Mothers Club. She was a faithful member of the Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church and served as treasurer for many years.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Bill Posey; father Ralph Nare; mother Hazel Voorhees Nare; daughter Faith Ree Andrus; son Mark Alan Posey; granddaughter Jennifer Nicole Posey; brother Roger Nare.

Survivors are her dearly loved family: son William Thomas "Tom" Posey Jr. and wife Sandy; son David Tyler Posey and wife Charla; son in law Bud Andrus; granddaughter Elizabeth Scrutchins and husband Keven; granddaughter Robyn Cunningham and husband Tim; grandson Michael Andrus and wife Arline; grandson Travis Posey and wife Libby; grandson Ryan Posey and wife Ashley; granddaughter Brooke Berthiaume and husband Erich; granddaughter Elise Bradford and husband Angelo. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren who affectionately call her Grandma Dot: Jeremy Ramirez, Cydney Ramirez, Jack Scrutchins, Kaleb Scrutchins, Chase Cunningham, Branden Cunningham, Reed Cunningham, Cate Cunningham, Emma Andrus, Garrett Andrus, Olivia Andrus, Ava Posey, William Posey, Bennett Posey, Vivian Posey, Paige Berthiaume, Audrey Bradford and Adley Bradford.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Denton Reace Walker

Funeral service for Denton Reace Walker, age 18, of Chickasha, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha. Brother Kent Hibbard will officiate.

Denton Reace Walker was born the son of David Walker and Ronda Leverett Walker on April 21, 1997 in Chickasha. He died on June 12, 2015 in Cyril, OK.

Denton grew up in Chickasha and attended Pioneer School until 8th grade. He graduated from Chickasha High School. He loved to fish, play guitar, skateboard and play his video games. He was also very talented with computers and other technology. Denton was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church where he was saved at the age of seven.

Denton was preceded in death by his grandfather Ronal Leverett.

Denton is survived by his mother Ronda Walker; father David Walker; brother Daxton Walker; paternal grandparents Charlene and Leroy Walker; maternal grandmother and husband Lorene Leverett Dodd and Glenn; aunt Beth Ray; aunt Desiree Walker; and many other family members.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Jerrold Daniel Cox

Funeral service for Jerrold Daniel Cox, age 84, of Chickasha, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Verden, OK. Rev. J.V. Lobaugh will officiate and Rev. David Hall will assist.

Jerrold Daniel Cox was born the son of Earl S. Cox and Esther Handke Cox on March 7, 1931 in Pocasset, OK. He died on June 14, 2015 in Chickasha.

Jerrold grew up in the Dutton area and graduated from Verden High School. He married Dora Jean Cotten on New Years Eve in 1950 in Carnegie, OK and they initially made their home east of Dutton. They moved to Oklahoma City soon after where he worked as a machinist for 13 years. After they moved to Verden he worked for Chickasha Manufacturing for 27 years and also raised cattle. Jerrold was a deacon in the Baptist church in Oklahoma City, Verden First Baptist Church and Laverty Baptist Church for many years.

Jerrold was preceded in death by his father and mother Earl and Esther Cox; sister Lillian Cassel; daughter Debra McCool; sister-in-law Madge Cox; and brother-in-law Carl Nelson.

Survivors include his wife Dora Jean Cox; brother Earl Cox; sister Lucille Nelson; son-in-law and wife Terry and Janet McCool; grandson Chris McCool; granddaughter and husband Tracey and Heath Payne; and great-grandson Logan Payne.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Muriel Anita Carline

Muriel Anita Carline, age 93, of Chickasha, Oklahoma was born the daughter of Charles George Gund and Ida Elizabeth Doering Gund on April 9, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri. She died on June 7, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Muriel grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Donald William Carline in Souix Falls, South Dakota in 1942 and they lived and raised their three daughters in St. Louis. She worked at the Junior High School in the Ritenour Consolidated School District of St. Louis County for over 12 years. Four years after the death of her husband in 1996, Muriel moved to Chickasha. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors include her daughter Dr. Nancy Osborn; daughter and husband Jeanne and Jim Dickson; daughter and husband Marilynn and Joe Rupp; granddaughter and husband Catherine and Nathaniel Saylor; Grandson and wife Raymond and Emilie Clement; grandchild Jenna Rupp; great-grandchildren William, Louis, Benedict, Marie and Edward Saylor; great-grandchildren Luke and Mark Clement.

Graveside services will be held in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Johnny Franklin Robinson

Funeral service for Johnny Franklin Robinson age 47 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.

Johnny Franklin was born the son of Wayne Franklin Robinson and Veta Pearl Wheat Robinson on February 10, 1968 in Bakersfield, California. He died on June 5, 2015 at Lake Altus Lugert in Altus, Oklahoma.

Johnny had lived in Chickasha since the age of three. He had been a roofer for over thirty years. He liked to fish, noodle, camp out at the river, spend time outdoors, and hang out with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Franklin Robinson, grandparents, plus many more loved ones.

Survived by his mother Veta Robinson of Chickasha; wife Sandra Robinson of Chickasha; daughters Hope York of Ada, Kristi Robinson and Misti Robinson of Chickasha; son Michael Cherenyock of Chickasha; granddaughter Brailey of Ada; grandson Kelton of Chickasha; brother Eddie Robinson and wife Laurel of Ninnekah; sister Stacy Lewis and brother-in-law Tom E. Lewis of Ninnekah; sister Laveta Loveless and husband of Chickasha; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Jerald James Moore

Funeral service for Jerald James Moore, age 74 of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Alex United Methodist Church. Rev. Sue Lykins will officiate.

Jerald James was born the son of Claude Raymond Moore and Audrey Wanita Orrell Moore on March 30, 1941 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He died on May 26, 2015 on the family farm north of Alex.

Jerald graduated from high school in Bristow, Oklahoma, then attended the University of Oklahoma for one year where he was on the wrestling team. He then entered the United States Marine Corp and served four years. Jerald worked for American Airlines in California, Oklahoma City, and Dallas retiring after thirty years. He married Marilyn Meunier on December 1, 1979 in Oklahoma City. They moved north of Alex in 1996 and Jerald began raising cattle. He loved to travel and went to many countries during his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Wanita; son Gary Moore; daughter Laurie Applegate; granddaughter Andrea Applegate; sister Karen Williams.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Moore of the home; daughter Susan Goodman of Chickasha; step daughter DeAnna Rippy of Houston; step daughter Dawn Gage of Houston; grandchildren Brittany Applegate, Jared Applegate, Tyler Moore, Grant Rippy, Collin Rippy, Blake Rippy, Keegan Gage and Keira Gage; great grandchild Gianna-Lynne Secora.

Interment will be in the Laflin Creek Cemetery north of Alex. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
