Dorothy Irene Martin

Funeral service for Dorothy Irene Martin, age 88 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Maranatha Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Bishop will officiate and Pastor Daniel Edwards will assist.

Dorothy Irene was born the daughter of Willie Fuller and Pansy Hodo Fuller on January 19,1928 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. She died on March 29, 2016 at her home in Chickasha, at the age of 88.

Dorothy was raised in the Ft. Cobb area. She married Herbert Lee Martin on January 2, 1946 in Ft. Cobb and lived on a farm outside of Ft. Cobb. In 1956, they moved to Chickasha and Dorothy began working in the medical field for Dr. Sam Davis then for Dr. Linda Johnson. She eventually retired and began devoting her time to her family. Dorothy was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Pansy Fuller; husband Herbert Martin; eight sisters; five brothers; son-in-law Dick Kane.

Survivors include her daughter Willia Kane of Marysville, Michigan; daughter and husband Judy and Larry Singleton of Pocasset; son and wife Allen and Brenda Martin of Chickasha; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister Linda Curry of Tempe, Arizona; sister Ruth Mabry of Carnegie; sister Wanda Grubbs of Chickasha.

Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Wanda Mae Loafman England Woods

Funeral service for Wanda Mae Loafman England Woods, age 88 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the College Heights Baptist Church. Dr. Bryan Haynes officiating.

Wanda Mae was born the daughter of Perry Albin Loafman and Ethel Bell Bradley Loafman on December 16, 1927. She died on March 25, 2016 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Wanda grew up in the area and graduated from Verden High School in 1945. After graduation, she went to business college in Oklahoma City, working at several places. On July 22, 1963, she married Ralph L. England living in Oklahoma City and later in Tahlequah. After his death, she moved back to Oklahoma City. On August 11, 1984, she married Robert L. Woods, Sr.. In 1986, after 30 years employment she retired from the Teachers’ Retirement System. She lived in Cushing until April 1995, when they moved back to Chickasha. The past two years, she lived at Glenhaven Assisted Living where she received wonderful care. Wanda was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Ethel Loafman; sisters Etheleen Smith and Ollie Cox; brothers Johnnie B. and Albin Wayne Loafman; husband Ralph L. England and husband Robert L. Woods, Sr.

Survivors include brother Perry A. Loafman and wife Jean; brother James R. Loafman and wife Helga; step son Robert L. Woods, Jr. and wife Donna; step daughter Donna Ann Carter; step daughter Sharon Johnson; step son Greg Shoemaker; numerous nieces and nephews; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; step great great grandchildren; family and friends.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Peggy Joyce Bradley

Peggy Joyce Bradley was born the daughter of Earl Mitchell and Alma Beaver Mitchell on August 16, 1933 in Hobart, Oklahoma. She died on March 24, 2016 at the age of 82.

Peggy grew up in Hobart, the town of her birth. She was married at the age of 17 and moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school. Following her graduation, they moved to Colorado for 8 years before returning to Midwest City for a short time. They then moved to Amber, Oklahoma which became their permanent home. She was a member of the Tuttle Church of Christ. Peggy spent her life as a devoted wife and mother.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Peggy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ann and Jerry Campbell of Woodward, OK; her granddaughter Jennifer Campbell of Mustang, OK; and her brother Bill E. Mitchell of Lubbock, TX.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

W. H. "Mickey" Busby
Graveside service for W. H. "Mickey" Busby, age 94 formerly of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Dr. Bryan Haynes will officiate.
W. H. was born on September 22, 1921 the son of George Washington Busby and Rosa Elder Busby in Tabler, Oklahoma. He died on March 21, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma.
W. H. grew up in the Chickasha area. He married Leona Katherine Ricks at a young age then was drafted into the United States Army serving in World War II. After being wounded in action, he was medically discharged and returned to Chickasha where he began farming and ranching.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Rosa Busby; wife Leona Busby; four brothers; four sisters.
Survivors include his daughter Mickie Ann Henry; son Calvin Busby; granddaughter Pamela Stump Anderson; grandson Mike Stump; granddaughter Jennifer Carver and husband Keith; great grandson Jeremy Anderson and wife Jenifer; great granddaughter Mikki Jean Elam; great grandson Aaron Rau and wife Audrey; great great grandson Bryson Elam; sister Frankie Greaves; numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
Telena Kay Blevins Cobb
Funeral service for Telena Kay Blevins Cobb, age 57, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the McRay Funeral Home chapel. Tommy Buchanan will officiate.
Telena Kay Blevins Cobb was called home to reside in God’s house on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Lawton, OK. Telena began her journey on this earth March 6, 1959 in Chickasha, OK. She began and finished school in Odessa, TX where she graduated in 1978. Telena married Clinton Wayne Cobb in Wichita Falls, TX in December, 2003. They had 13 years together. Their home was in Lawton, OK. Telena loved spending time with her family. Telena loved nature, being outdoors and her beloved pets. She loved being creative, painting, making jewelry and cooking.
Telena was preceded in death by both of her brothers, Danny Eugene Blevins and Michael Len Blevins; paternal grandparents Carl and Viola Blevins of Verden, OK; and maternal grandfather John B. Schurch of Chickasha, OK.
She is survived by her husband Clinton Wayne Cobb of the home; both parents Buck and Barbara Blevins of Odessa, TX; maternal grandmother Victoria Schurch of Chickasha, OK; Uncle Larry Morrison of Chickasha, OK; aunts Faye Bell Buchanan of Verden, OK, Carlene Von Tungeln of Quanah, TX, Nelda Overstreet of Edmond, OK, Loretta Ann Cowan of Tonganoxie, KS; sisters-in-law Lynn Collins of Harker Heights, TX, Debra Davis of Longmont, CO and Stephanie Keller of Lawton, OK; and many other family and friends.
Her final resting place on this earth will be at the Verden Cemetery.

Homer D. Cox

Homer was born on August 15, 1943 in Mangum, Oklahoma. He died on March 20, 2016 in Chickasha.
