Donald Ray O’Briant

Funeral service for Donald Ray O’Briant, age 83 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the Calvary Baptist Church.  Bro. Chuck Patterson will officiate assisted by Bro. Kim Hayes.

Donald Ray O’Briant went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2016 with his family at his side.  Don was born in Lookeba, Oklahoma on July 19, 1933.

After high school, Don attended Okmulgee Tech for two years then entered the United States Army.  After his military service, Don worked the family farm all his life.  He taught Sunday School for over fifty years and loved taking care of the Senior Saints.  His greatest passion was for Missions and winning the lost for the cause of Christ.  Don knew the Lord as his personal savior.  He was a very active member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maxine of fifty years; parents Ray and Dessie O’Briant; one grandson Kris Bates.

Survivors include his children:  Grant Aldridge and wife Rhonda of Oklahoma City; Donita Bates and husband Jerry of Bartlesville; Gary Aldridge and wife Donna of Chickasha; April Bevill and husband Mike of Chickasha; Brady O’Briant and wife Nina of Chickasha; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother Albert O’Briant and wife Betty; one sister Opal Capshew; numerous family and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.  Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donate to Calvary Baptist Missions, P. O. Box 822, Chickasha, OK 73023. 

Cody Dale Lynch

Funeral service for Cody Dale Lynch, age 23 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Bible Baptist Church.  Brother Kim Hayes will officiate.

Cody Dale was born on March 2, 1993 in Chickasha.  He died on November 7, 2016 in an auto accident near Fletcher, Oklahoma.

Cody grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. After graduation, he went to work at various jobs including Midwest Cooling Towers on the night shift.  He most recently was a contract employee for Goodyear Tires Manufacturing Plant in Lawton.  He enjoyed car shows, skate boarding and music.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother Lela Thoma, paternal great grandparents James Lynch Sr. and Geneva Lynch, maternal grandfather Fletcher H. Wilson and maternal great grandfather Ismael Valdez.

Survivors include son Bentley Lynch of Duncan; son Belin Lynch of Fletcher; father James Lynch III and wife Stefani of Chickasha; mother Lisa Cahanap of Austin, Texas; grandparents, James and Sherry Lynch of Chickasha; grandmother Loraine Wilson of Texas City, Texas; brother Greg Wilson of Austin, Texas; sister Erin Lynch of Chickasha; sister Tayler Lynch of Rush Springs; sister Zoe Cahanap of Austin, Texas; brother Austin Cahanap of Texas City, Texas; brother Mason Cahanap of Texas City, Texas; uncle Jeremy Lynch of Chickasha; numerous other family and friends; girlfriend Lindsey Stroud.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.  Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Loretta Springer

Loretta Springer, age 80, of Chickasha died November 9, 2016.  There will be no service.  Cremation under direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Ronald Lee Cannon

Ronald Lee Cannon, age 68, of Chickasha was born on March 7, 1948. He died on November 10, 2016 at his home in Chickasha.  The family will be receiving friends from 3pm to 4pm on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the McRay Funeral Home.  There will be no viewing and no service.

Ron was born in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico and married his wife Jennie in Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1968.  He worked most of his life as a sales representative of agricultural chemicals in Colorado and Oklahoma.  He moved to Chickasha in 1994 where he was manager at Apache Co-op.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Florine Cannon.

Ron is survived by his wife Jennie Cannon; son and daughter-in-law Shane and Misty Cannon; son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Amy Cannon; granddaughter Kalli Cannon and grandson Karston Cannon.

Private interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
