Carlos Dale McBride 

Funeral service for Carlos Dale McBride, 88, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 5, 2026 at Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Ron Blankinship officiating. Interment will follow at Alfalfa Cemetery in Alfalfa, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Carlos Dale McBride was born January 14, 1938 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma to Leon Noah McBride and Pearl Fay Gordon. He died June 2, 2026 in Verden, Oklahoma.

Carlos grew up surrounded by his two brothers and two sisters. On August 7, 1964 he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie McBride, with whom he shared 61 years. Together they built a life rooted in faith, commitment and quiet devotion. Carlos was a member of the United States of America Army. He was a principal and teacher for Verden Public Schools for many years. Carlos was a devoted man and would do anything to help a person in need. He was a people person—funny and he loved to tell stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Pearl McBride, his wife Joyce Marie McBride, and his sister Nelda Bohn.

Carlos is survived by his siblings Dewane McBride, Earl McBride and wife Mary McBride, Charlotte Early, and numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends, and his church family at Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
