Funeral service for Dennis Allen Beaty, 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Dennis Allen Beaty was born on September 14, 1950.  He is the middle child of Orval Allen and Mary Delores Beaty. Dennis was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1968.  He married Leona Barnhill and had two children, Kimberly Dawn and Bryce Allen.  In 1980, he married the love of his life, Merita Faye Smith and together they had Whitney Dawn.  They were happily married for 44 years.  Dennis worked at Maremont Manufacturing followed by several years at Ben Milam Heat and Air.  He owned and operated Dennis Beaty Heat and Air Conditioning until 1999, when Dennis began working for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority and retired from there in 2017. Dennis was a member of First Baptist Church. He also served at New Life Christian Church; both in Chickasha.  He and Merita enjoyed traveling together with their family.   Dennis loved to fish and garden.  He grew beautiful flower beds and tomatoes to share with friends and took a lot of pride in keeping an immaculate yard. Working with his hands is how Dennis blessed others.  He always had a project in the works. He was often called upon to use his unique ability to fix, repair and build any and everything; including overseeing the construction of the New Life Christian Church Activity Center. His attention to detail was unmatched.

A few words used to describe Dennis are hardworking, kind, dependable, faithful, gentle and a man of great integrity.  He adored Merita and was so very proud of his children and grandchildren.  Dennis was diagnosed with ALS in July 2022 and faced this diagnosis with a quiet and enduring strength. Dennis finished his race on earth the morning of Saturday May 4th, 2024.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Dee and Delores Beaty and sister Dorothy Trujillio and brother-in-law, Ted Williams.

Dennis is survived by his wife Merita, daughter Kim McKee and husband Rodney of Blanchard, son Bryce Beaty and wife Julie of Anadarko and daughter Whitney Molder of Chickasha.  Grandchildren, Kassity Yarbarough and husband Tucker, Brett Ulin, Piper and Blade Beaty and Price, Maggie Beth and Nellie Molder.  Sister, Debbie Bunnell of Cement. Sister-in-law, Abby LaForge and husband Steve of Chickasha and Tammie Williams of Stillwater, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

It was Dennis' request that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to "Chickasha ALS."  Deposits can be made directly at First National Bank and Trust of Chickasha; attention Beverly White.
