 Johnny Ray Mosley 

Funeral service for Johnny Ray Mosley, age 90 of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

John was born the son of Joe and Berta Mosley on September 28, 1935, in Duncan, OK. He died on December 21, 2025, in Chickasha.

John spent his younger years in rural Rush Springs, OK where he attended Oak Dale School. He moved into town and attended Rush Springs School. The family eventually moved to Chickasha where he attended Chickasha Public Schools. He was actively involved in the boy scouts and was an eagle scout. In 1953, he graduated from Chickasha High School, then went to the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the ROTC and Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After graduating from OU, he worked for Sanger Harris in Dallas, TX while awaiting basic training in the Air Force. During this time, he met Evelyn Aderhold who also worked for Sanger Harris and they eventually married on June 14, 1958. In 1962, he and Evelyn moved to Chickasha where he joined the family business, The Mosley Agency, which he eventually took over as owner/operator.

During his time in Chickasha, he was actively involved civically in the Jaycees, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, City Council, and the Economic Development Council. He also served on many boards including the Grady County Industrial Authority and was active in the Boy Scouts of America as a Scout Master. John was also on the State of Oklahoma Real Estate Commission for 17 years. Most importantly, he was an elder for many years for the Central Church of Christ which became the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Berta Mosley, wife Evelyn Mosley, and his sister JoAnn Hardin.

Survivors include his sons Mike Mosley and wife Sheila and Chris Mosley and wife Suehzen; grandchildren Kyle Mosley and wife Maddy, Cooper Mosley and wife Mattilyn, and Anna Mosley; and numerous other family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
