Keith Arlyn Olson

Funeral service for Keith Arlyn Olson, age 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at McRay Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.  Clay Hicks will officiate.  Viewing will be Monday from 9am to 7pm at McRay Funeral Home.

Keith Arlyn Olson was born to Leonard Olson and Selma Olson on August 16, 1947, in Sparta, Wisconsin, and passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Cashton High School in 1965 and joined the army in December 1966 where he served in the Vietnam war shooting artillery and then returned to Fort Sill and was an instructor.

He married Glenda Barrington in 1969 and from that union 3 children were born: Angie, Brian and Michael. Keith drove a truck for Chickasha Mattress and then went into farming with his father-in-law and farmed until 1997 at which time he went to hauling hay fulltime. He owned Olson Trucking until his retirement in 2021.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brothers Eugene Olson and Ellsworth Olson.

He is survived by his daughter, Angie and husband, Gary Otey; sons, Brian and wife, Leah Olson; and Michael and wife, Jennifer Olson. Grandchildren: Kayla (Kyle) Rodgers; Karli (Nick) Baker; Clayton Olson; Caden (Britnee) Olson; Blane Olson; Hunter Olson and Striker Olson. Great-grandchildren: Kash and Avery Rodgers; and Corbyn Baker.

We would like to thank the caregivers from Around the Clock Care; Norman Veteran's Home and the Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma City for their care of our father. We truly appreciate your care of our dad during the last year.
