Lesley John Moss

Lesley "Les" John Moss, Jr was born on October 26, 1974 to Venice Ratliff Moss and Lesley Moss. He lost his battle against liver cancer on May 15, 2025 while surrounded by loved ones. Les was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He grew up in Chickasha and surrounding areas. The family moved to Broken Arrow in 1979.

In his youth he found his love for the sport of soccer, starting when he was five and playing until he was 15, he always had a knack at being where he needed to be when he needed to be on the pitch. Competitive league coaches were always on his heels trying to get him to play on their teams. While young, he was also the kid who would take anything and everything apart and then be able to put it back together, even if it got him in trouble with his mom. Les graduated from Broken Arrow HS in the 10th grade with his GED, in his own words "School was slow, and it began to bore him". Les attended Tulsa Community College where he worked in the bookstore. Les took an opportunity to travel abroad for two years.

In 1996 he met the love of his life, Alicia Ann Rempe. They were married on September 20, 1997 and went on to have three amazing children, Logan John, Gavin Lesley, and Willow Marie. After all the kids were born Les attended CVTC and received his computer networking/repair degree. He was then recruited by JCI to be a HVAC controls technician. While raising his children in Yukon, Les had the opportunity to rekindle his passion for soccer. He was very active with coaching multiple soccer teams for his kids, Black Knights, Arsenal, and Lady Arsenal just to name a few. He then went on to get his national coaching license and helped the Yukon Soccer League with scheduling and registration. In 2011, Les and his family relocated to Canby, Oregon and began working for Apollo Mechanical Contractors. Les continued his education while with Apollo completing several engineering courses in the programing field. Les joined local 290 union where he became a Foreman. He was ecstatic that his children were involved in the field that he grew to love. Following in his grandfather's footsteps, Les was raised to a master mason on May 25, 2017 in the Champoeg Lodge. He was a dual member at Champoeg Lodge #27 and Cyril Lodge #504. Les shared his hobbies of sci-fi, card games (Magic TCG), video games, Audible books, drag racing, shooting guns and music with friends and family. He moved back to Cyril in 2022 with his wife to be closer to family.

Les was preceded in death by his grandfathers, OT Moss and Floyd Ratliff; grandmother, Melba Beatrice (Watson) Ratliff; father-in-law, Robert Rempe; and cousins, Tommy Moss, Rebel and Taya Massey.

Les is survived by his wife Alicia Moss; children Logan Moss and fiancé Kendra Hall, Gavin Moss, and Willow and Dalton Lovell; Mother, Venice Moss, Jeanne Rempe (mother-in-law); siblings, Kristina and Jayson Wilson, Carie and Danny Moore; Grandmother Coletha Moss; Uncle David and Lynne Moss; Aunt Liara Moss and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other loved family members.
