 Peggy Sue Willis 

Peggy S Willis passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her home at Chickasha Lake. Peggy was born on November 18, 1957 to John and Dorothy Kauffman of Oklahoma City, Ok. In 1972, her family relocated from Oklahoma City to Chickasha Lake (Verden). Peggy married Tim Willis on May 20, 1976. They were blessed to have 50 beautiful years together.

In the early 80's, Peggy worked at Brown-Binyon Funeral Home. In 1988, Peggy began working at the Chickasha Wal-Mart. She retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years in 2008. She always said her Wal-Mart family was the best! After she retired from Wal-Mart, she began substituting to fill her time. She was a substitute with Verden Public School and Chickasha Public Schools for many years.

Peggy always enjoyed traveling with her mom to visit family from Pennsylvania, Florida, Wisconsin and Kansas. If she wasn't traveling with her Mom, you could always find her watching her grandchildren doing what they love. She was a permanent fixture at stock shows and baseball games. Unofficially dubbed "Granny" to all the kids!

Peggy was preceded in death by both of her parents, John and Dorothy Kauffman.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Willis, of the home; her children: Michelle Fowler and husband Kip of Verden and Brandon Willis of Verden. Grandchildren: Stephanie Fowler of OKC, Theresa Henderson and husband Aaron of Blanchard, Kaden Fowler and wife Baylie of Ninnekah, and Magen Nitzel and husband Logan of Ada. Great-Grandchildren: Evan, Gabriel, Aaron, Lanie, Emma, and Gunner. Peggy is survived by her brother Don Kauffman and wife Kathy of Blanchard and her sister Johnna Kauffman-Evans of Chickasha.

Viewing will be Tuesday, July 21 from 9:00am until 7:00pm at McRay Funeral Home in Chickasha.

Funeral services for Peggy will take place Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Verden at 10:00am. Burial will be at Verden Cemetery immediately after the service.

Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
