Shelley Jean Henderson

Funeral service for Shelley Jean Henderson will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church.  Richard Prather will officiate.

Shelley Jean Henderson, age 62, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus and her husband Mark on July 10, 2022.

Shelley was born on February 28, 1960, in Borger, TX, to Clyde & Shirley Howard. She lived in Texas through her early elementary years until 3rd grade when her family moved to Oklahoma, eventually residing in Pocasset when she was in 5th grade. It was in high school at Amber Pocasset that she met her husband, Mark Henderson. The two were married on September 28, 1979, and brought two daughters into this world, Ashlie & Meagan. They operated a hay and trucking business together that Shelley carried on after Mark's passing in 2014.

Shelley loved spending time with her family, most notably in these latest years her 5 grandsons. If you visit her home you will see play toys all over and a yard adorned with everything from a play-set to a zip line and ropes course. She loved tending to her yard, taking care of her animals, and having late night sweets with her mom, Shirley. Shelley loved people well all the days of her life, and is known by all as a woman with the kindest soul and most loving heart. She touched many lives with her positive spirit and genuine attentiveness to everyone who crossed her path.

Shelley is survived by her daughters, Ashlie & Meagan, 2 sons in love - Cody White & Casey Howard, 7 grandchildren - Morgan, Kaylee, Ryker, Jax, Rigston, Reddick, and Sawyer, her mother - Shirley Howard, mother-in-love - Wilma Henderson Odom, and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle, sisters-in-love, and one brother-in-love. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark, and dad, Clyde.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.  Arrangements are with McRay Funeral Home.
