Wilma Paralee (Clark-Henderson) Odom

Wilma Paralee (Clark-Henderson) Odom was born July 23, 1939 and went home June 3, 2025. She was born to Forrest and Flora Clark, graduated from Middleburg High School and married J.W. Henderson on July 27, 1957. Wilma was the youngest of five, and her big brothers F.L. and Merle taught her the alphabet backwards before she started school. Her favorite thing growing up was playing basketball. She was the point guard and she said they were pretty good! Wilma and J.W. had Tina, Mark, and Brett while J.W. served in the Air Force, then added Jay after they moved home to Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Flora; her siblings F.L., Merle, and Winnie; her first husband J.W.; her late husband Lynn; her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Shelley; her son Jay; and her granddaughter Hailey.

She left behind quite a big legacy: her daughter Tina and husband Doug; her son Brett and wife Jamie K; grandkids Ronson, Heath and wife Bethany, Ashlie and husband Cody, Jimmie Lea and husband Andrew, Meagan and husband Casey, Dakotah, Whitney, Jaycie and husband Justin, Brock and wife Addisyn, and Caitlin and husband Kane. She also has 26 great grand kids and 6 great-great grands; as well as her sister Nadine.

Viewing will be Sunday, June 8 from 4pm-6pm. Services will be at 3:00pm, Monday, June 9, 2025 at Pocasset Baptist Church.

The funeral is under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
