Linda Faye Allen Martin

Funeral service for Linda Faye Allen Martin, age 76, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church. Brother Kim Hayes will officiate.

Linda was born the daughter of Clarence Lee Allen and Violet Faye Carter Allen on September 10, 1939 in Chickasha. She died on October 28, 2015 in Chickasha.

Linda was born and raised in the Chickasha area. On March 1, 1957 she married John Kirkpatrick in Wichita Falls, Texas. To this union two children were born. She later married Robert Martin on December 8, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was part owner of Chichasha Nursing Center and was a licensed nursing home administrator for many years until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of civic organizations including the Chickasha Rodeo Association and the Elkettes. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, OU football and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Martin; parents Clarence and Violet Allen; brother Bill Allen; and nephews Stacy Brunt and Larry Grant Allen.

Linda is survived by daughter Johnna Stephens; daughter and son-in-law Pam and Johnny Shropshire; sister Wanda Brunt; grandchildren Johnathan Christian, Tandi and Steve Carlile, Judd Stephens, Lindsey Shropshire, Brooke Shropshire and Erika Shropshire; great-grandchildren Jordan Christian, Taylor Christian, Brayden McMahan, John Kyle McMahan, Boston Shropshire, Kingston, Conrad, Boston and Mackaby Carlile; a host of family and friends; and special care-givers Linda Huffman, Margie Timmons and Tamara Kawaykla.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.


Jimmy Carroll Howell

Funeral service for Jimmy Carroll Howell, age 79, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Chickasha. Rev. Charles Bishop will officiate.

Jimmy Carroll Howell was born the son of Kenneth Valton Howell and Ruby Frances Dorman Howell on November 10, 1935 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. He died on October 16, 2015 in Chickasha.

Jimmy graduated from Amber High School as Valedictorian in 1954 and married Ina Overby on May 21, 1954. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee for two years, then went to work for BF Goodrich for six years. He worked for JC Penney and Sears for several years, then started his own home improvement business which operated for 25 years. From 1989 to 1995, he managed a retirement village. While working full time throughout his life, he also worked as a music minister and youth minister. He is a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to church and loved his OU Sooners.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ruby Howell.

He is survived by his wife Ina Howell; son and wife Kenny and Marla Howell; son and wife Danny and Susie Howell; son and wife Jimmy Don and Tammy Howell; brother Larry Gene Howell; grandchildren Kenny James, Deah, Leslie, Blake, Noah, Chelsea, Chance, Brayden, Cherokee and Jacob; great-grandchildren Luke, Madi, Tucker, Emma, Ainsley, K.K., Crew, Braxton, Carson, Millie, Kambelle, Isaac and soon to come Rhesyn.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.


Joe Elmon Wallis

Graveside service for Joe Elmon Wallis, 78, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 in the Fairlawn Cemetery north of Chickasha. Rev. David Thompson will officiate.

Joe Elmon Wallis was born the son of Harry Arthur Wallis and Clara Bea Houchin Wallis on June 17, 1937 in Blanchard, OK. He died on October 8, 2015 in Oklahoma City.

Joe lived most of his life in Chichasha. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years on the USS Yorktown before working for the FAA in Oklahoma City from which he retired. He volunteered at the Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry for 7 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Chickasha. As his health failed from Parkinson’s he and his wife Nathalene, whom he married on May 13, 2006, moved to a retirement area in south Oklahoma City in August, 2014.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Clara Wallis, his sister Anna Belle Sanders and the mother of his three children.

Joe is survived by: wife Nathalene Wallis; one sister, Idella Courtright; two sons, Dennis Wallis and wife Kathy and Greg Wallis and wife Rhonda; one daughter Kim Waltman and husband Robert; two grandsons Chad Wallis and Kevin Wallis; two granddaughters Kayla Pratt and Jamie Weber; two great-grandsons Christopher and Isaac Weber; three step-children Larry Black, Janet Nimer and Tammy Messer; eight step-grandchildren, Tana Weld, Morgan Black, Justin Wheeler, Jacob Messer, James Messer, Sharif Nimer, Faris Nimer and Zayn Nimer; five step great-grandchildren Cash, Rhett and Knox Weld and Jackson and Easton Wheeler.

Food donations may be taken to the Emergency Food Pantry at the First Presbyterian Church, 428 S. 6th St, Chickasha or cash donations may be mailed to the Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1203, Chickasha, OK 73023, in Joe’s name.
